2. Bananas
The expert says, “Bananas are not just a convenient and portable snack but also a great mood-boosting fruit. High in vitamin B6, bananas play an important role in forming serotonin, a neurotransmitter that regulates mood”.
Also, bananas contain tryptophan, an amino acid that is a precursor to serotonin, helping to promote a sense of calmness and relaxation.
3. Berries
“Berries, like blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries, are not merely delicious but also rich in antioxidants. Antioxidants assist in combatting oxidative stress in the body, which has been associated with mood disorders. The high levels of vitamin C in berries also contribute to the formation of dopamine, a neurotransmitter associated with pleasure and reward,” says the expert.
